F/S 1985 VF1000r Interceptor - SOLD
8045 original miles ! Mechanically perfect . Cosmetically near perfect . No it has not been down . It has some minor cracking on the tail section ( not from impact ) just from age . Has new Honda battery , nearly new Michelin Pilot Road tires . The bike still has the factory warning stickers on the tank , chainguard & windshield just lke when it was new . It was kept in a climate controlled spare bedroom until about 2 years ago ( It is still garage kept) . For anyone wanting a near perfect example of 80's Honda Superbike this is it ! For those not familar with these bikes , heres a little info ....http://motorcyclemuseum.org/classics/bike.asp?id=23 I am asking $4500.00 OBO . Anyone interested can P.M me or email me at MXRIDER150@HOTMAIL.COM . I will try to get some more detailed pics this weekend .

Nice ride. I had one of those back in the day. Def a great looking bike, & pretty fast too(& big). My friend has one that was crashed, he's either going to fix it or sell it for parts, hasn't figured it out yet.
Is that a TZR behind it? I had one of them too .

If you were closer to Wisconsin I'd probably be $4500 poorer right now. I always wanted one of those. I only had the 500. On the other hand it probably just as well you're far away. Anyway great looking bike, good luck with the sale.

Day-ummm that's a pretty nice survivor.
In case anyone is leery of the "has cracks but never has been down" statement, the 1000R was the first of very few bikes to come from the factory with fiberglass cowls which are lighter and easier to repair than abs plastic. It also had many other firsts including gear driven cams.
Good luck with the sale, she's a beaut.

I had the first baby VF500, sweet ride but my GPz550D1 was even nicer. The Big VFr was way too top heavy and handled like a truck comparatively but was faaaast for its day, and had a neat sound with AM cans.

I wished I would never see the day. I know it's time to move on and space is a premium in the garage but gee what a showpiece! Have you contacted the dealers around you? Like 500 miles around you? One of these old boys has got to have a barn full of old Honda motorcycles. And proud of it. This one is trophy good! You and I have talked about this bike in Texas. You and the guy from Wisconsin need to get together. If you can find such a collector I think we could enlist some support for shipping from the folks here and the folks over at VFRD. Certainly, 8000 miles??? this is a jewel worth preserving.

Thanks for all the compliments , I put the bike on a local sportbike forum , and within 1 hour had 20 emails . Needless to say the bike is SOLD ! A local Ducati collector is picking up early next week ( Not a scammer I know of the guy ) . The thing hasn't even left the garage and I am already having Sellers Remorse !
