how close to the factory yellow are these?

 

Not Close enough for me. When I had them test fit on the bike it looked pretty good until you got to the tank. The stock colour is much darker and richer looking than the fairings. With a tank bra it might look all right. I got lucky and found a good stock set so I didn't have to make the decision on whether to paint the fairings or paint the tank.
