Brembo radial master cylinder crash kit - plate only

Hello,

The aluminum plate that holds the pin against the piston seems to be the weak point of Brembo Radial Master Cylinders.

Brembo sells a crash kit that contains many parts that typically are not impacted by a crash, but the kit is fairly expensive. As a result, I have asked a local workshop to manufacture a small batch of the faulty plate.
Tolerance is 0.001', black anodized, and about 25% the price of the whole crash kit.
$14 shipping included.

ive got a brembo on my track bike, does this fit any brembo? also ive heard about the crash kits so that the lever breaks away without breaking the master. is this basically what this is?

This is designed specifically for the radial Brembo as shown on the schematic, it will not work with older designs.

The Brembo crash kit includes:
- boot
- pin
- c clip
- plate
- grease

The pin and the plate are the only Brembo specific items. Both have a fairly complex design which explains the price of those items. The plate is what breaks the most frequently and this is what I am selling.

I hope this answers your question

Is this for OEM Brembos (as used on Ducatis) or for the aftermarket stuff? If it fits the OEM Ducati stuff I might be interested (am running an "OEM" cast 19x16 from a recent Monster 1100 on my VTR)

Yeah, I would be interested as well - providing you can confirm fitment.

which is a ??????? Brembo makes a significant number of versions of radial MCs (16x18 OEM as used on various Yamaha R1s and R6s; cast 19x16 as used on most Ducs; aftermarket 16x18, in forged and billet; 19x18/19x20 in forged; 19x16/19x18/19x20 in billet;....) get the idea?

Not trying to be snarky but people would like specific info as to fitment before buying. Put me down for one if you can guarantee it fits a cast 19x16 as used on modern Ducatis......

Also, do you make some for the clutch MC? (OEM cast units used on Ducs are 15x18 FWIW)

I thought a picture was worth a thousand words but apparently it is not always the case.
This is a picture of a "Forged" radial master cylinder. Sometimes referred to as "Race series" or "GP" Radial Master Cylinder depending on which catalog you look at.

I am not aware of those mounted as OEM equipment on any bike.

The plate will fit any size, both clutch and brake of the "Forged" radial master cylinder.
To be completely transparent, the plate is identical to the one sold as part of the "Brembo crash repair kit" for "Master Radial Cylinder Pumps"

Crash Repair Kit- Brembo Radial Pump Master Cylinder

In addition, I will be happy to accept returns within 7 days shall you find the part does not fit your particular application. The plate can be shipped in a regular envelope so the shipping won't cost you more than $0.45.
Naturally the plate will have to be unscratched

I hope this helps

Maybe some dimensions of the actual part would help. That way we can measure our m/c's to see if it will fit.

the following approximate dimensions should help you determine whether the plate would fit your particular application.

outer diameter: 225mm
plate thickness: 1.90mm
inner diameter: 8mm

I'll check the SolidWorks model for the exact measurements if needed
