Orlando to Clearwater, FL
Just got my bike out of the shop, and ready for a ride. Heading to Clearwater, FL from Orlando to visit Frenchy's South Beach Cafe on Saturday, and need some good route recommendations. Any suggestions mates....

Orlando to Tampa
I live near Champions Gate, FL right off of HWY 27. Plan to leave around 10 am. Finally stopped and got some decent photos of my, new to me, 2005 Super Hawk. Everything is stock that I know of, and she had 12.6K miles on her when bought. Why toy with perfection! When in the shop, everybody took a ride and loved her. Feel free to let me know what you think.....

It's entirely probable that you'll slathered with love bugs-read stench- and your new Hawk will be a mess. I don't ride this time of year in daylight hours because of them. Many don't.

Appreciate you pointing out the love bug problem, Zxbud, but after living in Minneapolis, and IL. for several years, you appreciate a ride anytime! I've been riding the back-roads fairly often since I got the bike, and haven't had any major issues. Lakeland is fairly close, so let me know when and where you and the other Hawk riders hang out. What is your favorite route to Tampa while riding?

Thanks Robertlever! Found a nice out of the way route, that took me down Ronald Reagan, to 301, around Zephyrhills, to 60. Enjoying meal at Palm Pavilion restaurant, and weather is perfect. Plan to blow her out on I-4 on the way home. Looking for my Florida friends for a group ride soon. Squid.....
