So last night Ducati Tuner/Builder/Restorer extrodinaire Mike Weber took time out of his mega busy schedule to press fit the water pump impeller back into my VTR1000F engine case. At the end I thanked him for his help and tried to take a celebratory selfie of us while holding up the Honda manual! Mike was having none of that and so, dropped the clutch, pulled a u-ey and started to exit the frame! Too slow Duc man, too slow! Hahahahahahaha!

The stock front calipers cleaned up nice... Minus the mixture of road sealer and brake dust they look pretty good, "blinged" them up a bit on the rebuild with some SS mating bolts from PowerHouse!

Finally a lull and I can back to working on my VTR! Got it spun around this weekend I will try and strip the entire front end off of it and get to work on the fork restore/rebuild/revalve/re-spring and the minumetal task of cleaning off all the road sealer from the front of the engine and chassis... Onward!

MC mounted, new Speigler USA SS brake line, New EBC HH pads. The rear brakes are full, bled and rock hard. I replaced the rubber resevoir to MC line with Tygon 2375 and new clamps, I think it cleaned up the look a bit...

Trying to make Eric Marquez proud! Man these were super grubby on the outside, covered with asphalt sealer and grime, but surprisingly it was super clean on the inside! Piston, pins and slider got a polishing! Have I mentioned how much I hate asphalt sealer?

So using a grease pencil tied in a loop at the end of some Mason's line, I anchored the other end around the rear axle adjusted the length of the line until it started where I wanted it to. I then drew an arc to the bottom rear of the fender. Some quality time with a jigsaw made the arc happen and a little help from my heat gun resealed and smoothed the edges... Happy with the result, the arc of the rear fender follows that of the rear wheel and tire!
