I switched to 520 chain/sprockets and use RK chains.I keep the chain lubed and adjusted and have had NO PROBLEMS whatsoever. Glad you stopped OK when your chain broke,must have been hairy....!

Yeah. I thought about that too. I've got about three good solid ideas that could lead to a fix. That's not one of the main ones just because I feel like I can do just as much with a drill and tap as I can with an insert.

Anyone know how much pressure the slave puts on the lifter/link rod? I don't think much, but I can't seem to find that infro anywhere. That would be a nice tid-bit to know...

If anyone's still watching this thread - looks like it's going to work out. Finally got off work early enough to get it by the welder's shop. He says I can pick it up tomorrow with no problem and about 2 hours of labor. Cheap enough fix for me! Thanks for all the help and ideas, guys!
