WOW! UNBELIEVABLE! and THANK YOU!
I just received my lightened flywheel (option #4) this afternoon. I was in the middle of changing the shims on the most excellent carb setup suggestions from 8451 HAWK. Once I got the shim stacks to my bikes liking, all SH's are uniquely different. Test ride, She was almost perfect. But, as 8541 HAWK would say "It could be better". And it will! I needed a break from the carbs so I changed to the light flywheel. Pretty easy with the right tools. Test ride, UNFREAKIN' BELIEVABLE! Spools up way quicker, accelerates better, easier to match engine/gear speed when down shifting. By far the best mod since I became addicted to SH!
As a result of what I've learned on this site and the Euro site, (VTR1000.org) I found that you can have the SH that fits your riding style/needs. I've discovered some interesting things by trial and error. Some of them, apparently, controversial. Regardless this is a fantastic community.
So, Thank You All especially E.Marquez, superb flywheel work and service, 8541 HAWK, carb setup and putting up with my old guy questions, Jumpin' Jack Flash, for the Fuel screws and enrichner fittings.
And yes, Yellow does make it faster!
