Timing Front cyclinder.. am I doing right?

the rear worked just like the book said.. RT in site window, Ri and RE line up with case.
Front - I lined the FT but FI and FE dont' line up! there off by about 3 teeth,
Am I doing this right?
Do I just remove the manual CCT and roll the cams back 3 teeth?

PS CCT did fail!

Well, unless you have replaced the valves, or at least had them out to verify that they are undamaged, start there... It's no point trying to set the timing with bent valves... And a failed CCT is almost guaranteed to take out the valves, and possibly the guides...

BTW, you have already been told this in another thread... Going off and starting a new one when you aren't immidiately handed the info you want, the way you want it, is considered rude on forums... If you don't understand the answers, ask follow up questions, but keep the lot of them pertaining you fixing the engine in one thread...

Or the simple result is that the rest of us that can help you probably will just ignore you...

When the cct fails, the chain slackens and the cams can rotate without the chain, making the timing off. if yours is off 3 teeth, its very likely you have valve damage. Check your clearances.

If everything works out fine, then yes you need to rotate the cam so that both marks like up.
