superhawk shutting off at idle

i have my idle set at about 1100 and after replacing the oem cam chain tensioners to manual tensioners, when im at idle the bike shuts off randomly and so we turned the idle up a little and it idles fine then randomly jumps down to a very low idle trying to cut off. also can feel a "clunk" when it jumps downin rpms trying to cut off. any ideas what this could be??

did you put the vacuum hose back on the petcock.the hose goes on the back of the petcock, not the bottom nipple.

Cool

It's funny that you mention this. I finally gave in today and went back to the OEM air filter after trying to get a K&N to work and the bike runs WAY smoother but idle changed and she actually died on me on the way to work this morning which she never did with the K&N. I need to toy with the idle speed but I just thought that was interesting.

If you haven't sync'd the carbs, that'll probably help quite a bit.
