Spring rate?
So just got my Penske shock rebuilt by a race buddy at the track. He mentioned how strong a spring the shock had. It is a 950lb shock. I remember putting it on since I was always riding 2 up with 3pc luggage.
What are you guys running? I am @ 190lbs.

Oem still, 38 psi rear iirc.
In the front I reduced the air gap by 10mm and used Honda brand 10 weight oil. It's nice combo Steering damper too. I'm 180 ish these days, probably 190 with some gear on.
Hows that oil leak? Any luck?

Unfortunately everyone I know goes through a painful process of trial and error. All swear that the calculators are wrong and largely a waste of time. Having an extra spring or two laying around cant hurt though, maybe someone on here will buy it.

Yeah, I have 2 spares but they don't have the spring rate on them. One is from an RC31 but I have yet to track down what the weight of that bikes spring is.
The other is unknown but I think its close as I got them for the VTR way back when.
