Hey guys I am getting ready to buy a 98 hawk and the guy who owned it before has it set up 1 up 5 down. Is it much trouble, if i dont like it to convert it back to normal? Thanks alot.....

 

You'll just need to find the stock linkage. Chances are he converted it using a VFR shifter. IMO it makes shifting much more definite and solid because there is no linkage involved. The lever your foot pushes and pulls is directly bolted to the shift shaft. I love it! But give it a couple hundred miles before you start hatin'. Besides, all the racers use reverse shift...
