Shifter Linkage Replacement
I have a 1998 SH, I am searching for an aftermarket or OEM shifter linkage setup. Mine is old and worn out. If you have some URL links that would be great, Thanks.

Do you need just heim joints? If so i have a source that are much better than oem sloppy ones.

Yes actually that would be great.

See my comments near the bottom of this thread:
https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...age-mod-16850/ Here is a link to the Ebay seller's store where I bought the metric heims (rod ends). They shipped quick, and worked great. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/McGill-Moto....c0.m322#items James |
I have the shifter rod with the male threads on the ends. So that style will not work.

Something like this http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Fe...female+rod+end Make sure what you buy are not Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) (TEFLON) lined or they will be too stiff for this application. |
Is that the correct thread size? I am not home to measure mine. I will take your word on it. Thanks lot for the help. I will order them now.

This is why we recommended in the linkage thread to upgrade to the better aluminum shift rod, Honda part number shown in that thread. It's cheap, and a much nicer part than the cheapy steel part.
It's also challenging to find a matching left and right hand threaded rod end, which is why i ordered from the ebay supplier in UK. Mine don't have any yellow chromate coloring on them, mine are all silver and only a 2 piece style (no inner bushing), not a 3 piece style. James |
Yes I see why now and that's what I am going to do. I looked the part number up and found the rod.

You'll be much happier this way :)
