Report on aftermarket CCT springs
Recently we had Springman from the UK posting a thread selling new springs for your CCT's. You replace the spring instead of the full unit thus savng money.
He has sent me one for evaluation, and while I am unable to do any rigorous testing, I have examined the spring carefully and compared it to another OEM CCT spring that I have. It appears to be a high quality part, and looks identical to the Honda part to the naked eye, and in its spring rate seems the same.
Without long term testing no claims are being made by the manufacturer as to the longevity of the component, rather it is seen as a cheap way to service the CCT's, and therefore they can be done more regularly.
For your information. I am in no way affiliated with the manufacturer, and have not received any kick-backs for this report!
Cheers,
Shayne
