Replacing side fairing question

Replacing side fairing question
Greetings from Louisville, KY -Home of the #1 seeded Cards!
Background:
'Hawk went down in the driveway and shattered the left side the the fairing. -Got a replacement panel.
Question:
I spent the last hour or so working on replacing the left side of the fairing. I got everything off, except I chickened out when I got the part where the side pannel "clips" into the center "headlight cowl." There's two fiberglass tabs on the side fairing which "snaps" into the center cowl. I am worried about breaking off the "female" end of the connections (center cowl) if I force it, but it's got to come apart. I'm thinking I just have to muscle it though and hope that it's stronger than it looks.
Anyone suggestions?
Brian

Actually, no muscle needed... Remove all bolts, clips and other stuff holding anything...
Lift and swivel the side part in the right angle and direction and it slides loose with no strain on the parts and no effort from you...

perfect advice, Tweety
Came lose no problem, thanks for the advice, Tweety. Everything was removed, and I was ready to break out the Dremel tool to cut off those last tabs. That simple twist was all that was needed. It's amazing how paranoid a $275 fairing panel can make you.
Thanks,
Brian

IMO, Its easier to take it all off at once. but to each his own. check out the service manual for instructions. there's one on this site that you can download for free! good luck and watch the paint!
