RED RTV silicone?

I've been trying to seal up my after market link pipes to the headers, they are designed to be fitted without the original joint gaskets.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced problems with this RED RTV silicone Hi-Temp made by ABRO not going off (curing)

I've followed the directions on the back of the packet for using it, leaving it for 24hrs to cure, even a day later it's still not cured.

I used some on my leaky truck headers and it cured fine - I don't recall the brand I used though as it was several years ago.

Are you 100% sure? Which brand are they?

Thanks guy's for your replies, my apologies for not getting back sooner.

They are Scorpion race cans, they are definitely not designed to be fitted with the original gasket.

I have put the problem down to the RTV silicone being old stock from the shop. I pulled it apart again to have a look and this is what is was like after three days.

I'll bet $20 that you are supposed to use the stock gaskets with those (the ones on the end of the stock header).
