Power Loss/ RANT!

Ok Boys here's the deal. I took the old girl (02 Superhawk) out on Saturday night to the local speedway. Well first off I couldn't launch worth a damn, after that my bike kept topping out 111-112 mph, top speed 113 mph after a slight burnout prestage. I had a buddy I was running against (02 CBR F4i) at the 1/4 he was running 120ish, WTF. I think my best time was 11.7. Please anyone help. I am thinking of getting a jet kit, and K&N air filter. Obviously I have a fuel issue, but has anyone had this problem? I know its redundant but I cant get passed 110-113. Once I hit those speeds, I feel no power, than it will come back after I get back down to 70-80 mph. I am not the most mechanically inclined person, but hey Ill give anything a shot. Anyone?

What gear were you in at 110-113?

edit: you may be hitting the rev limiter..

do you have aftermarket exhaust? Also a stock hawk with a professional rider can get and 11.3 quarter mile time or so. If you no longer are getting power under wide open throttle I would say it probably needs a bigger mains.

I have the stock pipes with 8-5/8" holes per side. I was trying everything, all gears just to see if I could get anything better. I thought that I may be hitting a rev limiter initially, but the bike had done it before but after I hit 130. After that on the way home it did it like at 90-110. The bike doesn't cut off or anything just no response after the top out.
