pics fo fuel level sender

Hi all, if anyone could post a shot of an undamaged fuel sender (mines an '02) I'd like to see the shape of the float rod to get mine close. Bike had a crushed tank on it and I just swapped it over but I'm tired of the thing only showing two bars and it never goes to blinking. Doesn't really give me a good idea of what I have left miles wise. Pulled the sender and it works fine through whole range, but what's up with the delay in the gauge changing? Takes many seconds to change, although I can live with it. Thanks for any pics or info. Love this shit!

so it doesn't react to every fuel slosh, maybe?

I'm sure that's it... nothing worse than overreacting...errr reacting to a fuel slosh! That would be a problem with the shape of most modern sportbike tanks. I just recently found out about the tank foam for racing. Not quite a problem for me yet.

I wouldn't mind buying one for that price but I'd rather just bend the rod to get it reading right and get back to riding. I'd hate for the new one to get tweaked in shipping and have the same problem. I could probably just spend some time messing with it, but I figured somebody on here always has the tank apart for some reason. What general shape was the float rod on your new one?
