I took my '05 Hawk in for its 16,000 mile service. They just called me to tell me that there was a problem with the petcock. They think they broke it. I am hoping that they just kinked a hose so I can get my Hawk back.
The last time I had the tank off, I don't remember if the petcock was part of the tank or a bolt on part? Does anyone know for sure?

There are two identical lines that are easy to get wrong and then the petcock won't work. Or did they physically break it and if so how the hell did they do that?

 

The service manager called me and said there was a problem, and that he thinks it was broken. He said he will call me tommorrow and let me know for sure. It is possible that the tech was in a hurry. I took the Hawk in for a 4 hour service at 2:00pm and they called me at 7:00pm to tell me about the problem. We will see what happens, I hope they didn't break anything.
