Out the game MAYBE
Well my wife laid
my hawk going 40mph.Doesnt look bad to me (right fairing damage )But they totaled it.I paid 2500 us dollars and they offered me 3700 or 2700 if i want it back.Thinking about it because i have a chance to buy a 2004 GSSX750 with 6000 miles for 3500 what would u do.Im kinda want to keep the Hawk since ive only had it about 3wks and see it has a huge following and since i havent really got to ride(Summer) i might miss out on somethingIm not into racing and IMO VTwins sound good! Havent made 1st note so after payoff id have 200 to fix bike.(FREE BIKE) Or take 3700 buy the suzuki.I dont have to payoff loan eitherway borrowed against car title.Anyway I need opinions fast!

Have you thought about taking the 3500 and buying a another, "newer" hawk? It seems that 3500 bucks will buy you a pretty good hawk. I personally could never ride an I4 on the street after owning a twin. I like not having to shift the hawk all the time to keep it in the power range.

Post some pics. Lets see whats doin with your bike. Free bike + $200 sounds great to most of us, but your cash flow is really what decides. You will need more than $200 to bring the bike back. Do you/will you have enough? You will probably need $1000+. Hell, my bike was perfect and I've got near that into it in mods.
If you want it to be this can be an opportunity to build your dream...

Echoing what was said above, keep it and create a list of parts you need (or a few pics of the damage).
I just purchased my first hawk and have some extra's from the former owner that would have no problem going to a good home.
Hope the wife is ok after the fall.

I'd say that if you have thoughts about getting rid of the hawk in favor of a 750 suz, this alone tells you your real feelings about what it does or doesn't mean to you. In this case, you may need to get the gsxr.
Unless you financed, I can't believe you had collision insur on a $2500 bike considering the yearly cost and the long term cost impact an accident will have on future rates. However, in this case, since you just got the bike, you won one.
whatever you decide, remember, we still love you
