Moriwaki exhaust cans.

Wondering if anyone may have some experience here. I have a pair of almost new, about 3000 mile, Moriwaki cans off an 03 919. A large truck backed into my bike, only scratched them slightly but I got new ones.
Would these work well on my newly acquired 05 Hawk? The right side seems like it would almost bolt on, the left seems like I will have to visit the muffler man to make it fit. Performance wise, good fit?

Unless someone has done it there's no way to know. If the cansare equal length then putting them on stock midpipes or up mounts should be close, but again no way to know until you try it.

Moriwaki's are about the best sounding cans out there for a SH IMO. Check out this video of a pair with high mounts. (At 1:36 I just about touched myself) If you EVER want to part with them please let me know!

PS: Here's a pic of one with low mounts

Theoretically these cans should work well, but only a dyno run will tell you the true picture, though you must do it before and after to see the results.
What is guarantied is a great sound ;)

Should be two types; cans that have seperate link pipes retained by springs.

Or like mine, one piece cans and link pipes.

Wish I had the titanium headers

Thanks for all the info...I really need to find a way to get them on there. What I have are the cans and two roughly 10" pieces with a slight bend with a carbon fiber shield. Where would I look to find the section that would go from the stock system to the new cans? Now that it is snowing in Montana, this will be my winter project I guess. Have only put about 15 miles on the bike since buying it and getting the jets cleaned.

Yeh my Yoshi's sound just as good.....ok.....maybe not. Damn!, now I have to start the bike when I get home tonight, and listen again. ;)

If they are one piece cans & link section, and as they come from a different bike, then you'll need to cut em off and find someone to fabricate new link sections to fit and join to your cans & headers. Other wise if you've got separate cans then all you need is the custom link pipes made up.

Recommend fully Stainless Steel Mikalor Supra W4 clamps to hold the link pipes to the headers. Mikalor's SUPRA W4 clamps

Photos of what you've got would help
