Master cylinder, clutch side

I haven't had time to ride much these last few years, and kind of neglected the bike. Walk in the garage to find the clutch slave leaking, damaging the paint on my belly pan. Got myself a rebuild kit and reinstalled it. I then proceeded to cleaning the sludge in the MC, when I popped out the small clip over the flow holes in the center.
Now, being in a pickle since I haven't work on MC's in a really long time, I don't remember how exactly the plate goes I feel silly, placed it back in the way it logically should go, but then again, I may be wrong. Anyone willing to shed some light ?

Not sure if this helps. Number 8? Use the orientation in the schematic?

Thanks Xeris, I did see the schematics, but was just curious if I did it right since the flap side of the clip sits high over the return hole.

I'm lost. I'm not sure where you are either but if you get it straightened out, Let us know, if not same but be more clear with what you're unclear about

That is not an OEM clutch MC, which should have a remote fluid reservoir. So what gives.

That sucks

On the brake side I run a VTR1000SP1 MC, also tried the SP2 master and have Brebo radial unit waiting for a brake switch

The is a clutch slave upgrade available that really is reasonably price even when compared to an OEM rebuild kit and labor plus the AM slave has like a 3 or 5 year warranty

Can't remember the name but it's on the tip of my tongue

Eberful or close?

Oberon.
I'm running Brembo masters on both sides. They work great. More important, they look great.

Yep, that's it!

Chemicals and advancing years have addled the gray matter...

Brembo are great and the most prolifically available but I cheaped out and got a Brembo brake MC for a R6 that should be fine.
