HELP.. I can find a spot for this loose Vac line

I just put a new tank on my Hawk and it runs like crap now.

While looking around for the culprit I find this loose line... I have stripped the bike down to the carbs and I cant find where it goes?

HELP?
(loose line below the carb on the head)

First did you accidentally do a PVLIR?

The vacuum line to the petcock goes to the one on the back, not the one on the bottom, the bottom is the vent.. That hose may be (I am not an expert) hook up to the vent on the bottom of the petcock to direct excess fuel away from the hot engine.

I can't tell from your picture where the other end is going - is on the intake side of the engine - each intake port has a threaded hole on it. One has a nipple and tube to the petcock to release the vacuum petcock and all flow of fuel while running via the negative pressure. The other is usually blocked off - unless someone has hooked up a hose to do carb synch for in the past. In which case it should be blocked off and left alone except for doing carb synch's. Can't remember which cylinder the fuel petcock hose goes to, but I do believe its the rear. So check, if that hose is going to the front intake port on the front cylinder I'm betting that is what it is.

It all fixed! I had the line on the bottom of the petcock instead of the rear.

Lazn, I owe you a beer
