Arrow Fuel Mileage cut in half

I dont know what happend to my bike but, I use to get around 140miles per a tank. And now im around 80 miles per a tank. I had the bike in the shop the end of last year to get a tune up and adjust the carbs. The only thing i can really think of is my air filter is way over due for a new one. Or the shop didnt sync the carbs right. I have never messed with the jetting so i couldnt see why anything would change. Any suggestions would be great!

Yeah 140 was pretty much highway and probably around 120 in town. Now my light came on around 65 miles and rode another 15 miles. when i filled up i had half a gallon left in the bike. Guess i will change the air filter and see what happends from their!

did you check to see if you have a gas(oline) leak? That is a pretty radical change. Is your odometer correct? Is the exhaust black smoke?

also a choke needle not seating can do that to you real quickly mine was stuck for a tank or two I went in took both of them out cleaned them off real good and applied a little lube in there and the mileage came back. Also fwiw I too will see 140 miles before the light when only doing tucked in freeway miles, and I routinely see 120 when out having fun.

Hmm i will have to check the choke cable out. When the bike was in the shop they replaced the choke cable. I broke the plastic piece when i was screwing it in.

Sometimes, when installing, the outer housing of the choke cable pulls out from the junction block, located under the carbs. See the two cables above the white coolant bottle? That is it.
