Fan switch

So I am looking for a fan switch that will come on at 90* (C).

I tried an 80* switch but thats too low and it runs constantly.

Anyone know where I can find one? There has to be a Honda car that shares the switch right?

From a Nissan car:

part #21595-01A00

Turns on at 85* C

Manual switch, turn it on whenever you want.....

Yeah I have a switch but kinda have a few things to do maneuvering through NYC traffic to be monitoring that.

Just went to 2 auto parts stores & no luck. I want to try for a 90* turn on but thanks 007 I can use that as a backup

Ok I am gonna go ahead and bump this. I havent found a switch. I bicycled 18 miles today & went to several auto stores but no dice. It is really hard to back track these things.

I know its 18 threads x 1.5 and I want 90* (C). Some geo metros have similar ones but I cant find their temps. Also a suzuki swift seems to be similar but same issue.

So again I am calling on the SH army for help. I know you guys can find this.

if i remember correctly,a switch from a honda car will work,im not 100% sure,but i believe from crx,most civics,integras.
i have the info saved somewhere,if i find it,i will give you exact info on it.
i was looking for switch before and found info by mistake.so i will get cracking on it.
what switch do you have on the bike now,the original that came with bike or a rigged one.

smokinjoe73 04-10-2012 10:43 PM

Kinda both. The original switch plus a toggle to flip on. I even installed a (really) cheap digital thermometer to monitor coolant temp so I am in touch, thanks saige

So what if I find a switch that has 2 contacts? Do I just need to run one to ground & then it completes the circuit? The stocker has only one contact..

7moore7 04-11-2012 10:43 AM

Yep. A lot of car switches have a separate ground contact rather than grounding through the radiator body. Just run a wire like you said.

Reason being rads in cars have mostly plastic tanks and mounted in rubber gromets so they dont ground to anything...
