cylinder sleve

Anyone have any information on where to get the cylinders re-sleeved?

RCVTR is an unknown quantity at this point
Are they out of round? How much?

they will all measure a bit out of round, because the cycliner is unsupported at the top. I've always thought that they get better when you torque the head down, but I've never tried to verify it with a torque plate.

The truth is, it will run fine, unless it is really bad. Mine burned a bit of oil with .004" out of round. My RC 51 burns almost none with .002". It was a cost/benefit thing for me.

Not out of round there is a big scratch in one cylinder and I already have nice JE pistons for it. I was trying to see if it would be cheaper to re-sleeve the cylinder or get new pistons.

Probably cheaper to just buy another case/cylinders (have a look at eBay item number 280451135093, for example).

So it's OK to mix upper and lower cases?

Short answer...NO!

The case halves are assembled when bored for main bearings and transmission shaft bearings.

True dat. The bearing bores would have a slight mismatch.
