Cost of Parts and Labor on a CCT replacement on a 1998 SH
Hi guys,
Looking at getting a superhawk 1998 25k miles. From what I can tell I should get the CCTs replaced ASAP. What am I going to pay for in the way of: a. Parts b. Labor to get the CCTs taken care of. Thanks. |

And his website: Krieger Cam Chain Tensioners and relatively easy to DIY for free - just follow instructions to the letter in the workshop knowledge-base |

Location
Correction guys, bike is 35k
Live in the DC metro area. I'm reasonably handy but the CCTs looked like a lot of work. Thanks. |
for your first time, can be a challenge, but it is easier than you think.
just follow the instructions to the tee. zip tie the cams.very important. |
Read through this, see what you think, ask if you have questions. It doesn't take special tools, just a little time and patience. A shop will probably charge you 3-4 hours? I'm not sure. It should take them one, but I've never been impressed by cct labor quotes.
