Clutch slipping???

Help...
my 99 SH started clutch slippage at higher RPMs but eventually I couldn't get out of first gear. So I decided to replace the clutch (drive and friction plates; and springs) with Barnett'. Additionally I decided to rebuild the slave cylinder.

Went to ride it today and slight improvement but the clutch continues to slip badly
anything I'm missing? Do I need to replace the clutch basket too? Only 20k miles on the clock

Are you 100% with the re-assembly of the new parts? Did you remove the actuator rod from the slave to the clutch? If so did it go back with the correct orientation? Is the clutch lever adjusted correctly? Do you have aftermarket levers? If so they can sometimes apply some pressure, even though it seems to be adjusted correctly.

Thanks for the list....I'll have to get back in there to make sure the install was correct. If they are all confirmed...what is my next step to consider?

The last friction plate seats into different notches in the basket. If this is done wrong, the clutch will not work properly. Though I don't know what the issues will be. Maybe someone will chime in a offer some advise.

I remembered being careful to put the last plate as you described.
I don't think I checked the plate thickness when I installed them... Would that affect the slipping?

Yes it would if they were thinner. I don't have any first hand experience.

Any chance you recently installed a different lever? When was the last time your hydraulic system was fully rehabbed?

Negative on a different lever... I bought a used clutch basket and may try to see if that helps. I'm just baffled that a new set of clutch and springs did not resolve the problem. And also rebuilt the slave cylinder. So so weird.

Also get that master cylinder rebuilt and meticulously cleaned.

Jeez. 10 seconds.
I would opt for the OEM from Partzilla.
