Cheap CCT

I have only found one link to a place that I can buy a pair of APE manual CCTs. I need to find the cheapest place to buy these. Anyone with links please post them for all to see.

Shame on us.

Actually, I only accept guilt from my mother and wife.

Hopefully the above nonsense will elicit more responses

I got mine directly from APE because the only place that had them cheaper was backordered. http://cbrzone.com/sprockets.html

While most things are said to have gone to the dogs.

I don't know if it is better or worse that our critical component has gone to the APEs.

Cliff,
Most of the Manual CCTs I've seen were ordered from American Performance Engineering directly.

I ordered mine from Schnitz Racing, which, at the time, was selling them for 36 bucks apiece drop shipped from APE. I see they have raised their prices to 44.95, which is still better than APE's price.

Originally I ordered from Schnitz. They were cheaper. Problem with them is service. Turns out they were backordered. So I called APE and they were able to get some out to me right away. So I called Schnitz to cancel my order and instead of just refunding my money, they said they had to keep some of it because Paypal(the only option they give to pay) charges them money to refund a payment. What a FREAKIN CROCK. I'm sorry, I thought that was the "Cost of doing business". JMHO, I will NEVER deal with Schnitz again. I hope that $3.50 was worth it for them to lose a customer forever.

I had good service from them. I ordered them from their website and they called me to tell me they were going to drop ship them from A.P.E. No problems.

I have a pair I will sell you just to get them out of my parts drawer. I bought a pair from APE and installed one on the rear cylinder is see if it reduced some noise I was hearing. I had it installed for about 100 miles and it made no difference, so I went back to the OEM tensioner. I was nervous about over-tensioning the chain and will take my chances with the original equipment. Roll the dice!! Both CCTs are in perfect shape, red like the photo above. $50 for both and I will pay the shipping. Send me a note at rotaxflyer@yahoo.com, if interested.
