after numerous setbacks, i've now got this bike at the point where i thought it was back in August, 2010... took it for a test-ride yesterday. this bike has been down for a long time. i remember the occasional clunk-die of the SH motor, but yesterday it was hickuping at an alarming rate. i was really beginning to worry that the motor had been damaged as a result of the crash or the ultra high temperatures i was running the motor at when trying to figure out the cooling problem. after parking back in the garage, i noticed that the cap had come off of the front cyl vacuum hose i'd run out for carb-syncing. plugged that back up and went for a longer test-ride today. everything seems to be in order. it's a minor miracle. i'm gonna go ahead and pull the wheels and get the new rubber put on, give her a well-deserved wash and polish, get plates and insurance and put the plastic on and ride this beast. wow! this list has been invaluable. thanks...!
