My bike has a homade uni filter(from this site I think) and a stage one factory jet kit. Any experiance with this? Thinking of going with a k&n(larger filter area), but don't wanna spend hours playing with set up.

 

Yes, I have. Did it with a fram tho' (cheap bastard). Stage one and move the needles up one more notch to smooth out the 3k transition but I had stutter issues before that too.

 

I did a K&N when I put my new jet kit and pipes. Dealer had her jetted too lean @ first. I bitched, and he re-jetted it, fattening her up considerably. After that, it runs great. Have put 3k on the K&N w/ no problems..
