I replaced my RR with an aftermarket off of ebay and it lasted 400-miles. Daad battery, tested at 3k and dropped to 10.6 volts-got my money back and picked up an 08 R6 RR it has 6-pins. I went to Yamaha dealer and they are telling me that the Middle pin directly under the plastic lock for connector has nothing connected to it. I have read all the threads and seen the correct connections for the 5-pin. Can anybody confirm that the 6-pin will work on the vtr without frying my elcts as they didn't seem to confident at Yamaha. thank you in advance

 

FYI-evidently Yamaha now makes different R/R-one for the R6R (6-pin) & R6S (5-pin) Cool ****....not!
