2005 Front Brake Master Cylinder Sub-Assembly Mounts on Older VTR?

Will a 2005 VTR1000F Front Brake Master Cylinder Sub-Assembly (Part Number 45510-MBB-B81)--upgraded from the earlier version (45510-MWO-315)--mount and work on a 1998-2004 VTR?

The brake-lever part number is the same for both versions of the sub-assembly(53170-MBW-006), and the mounting flange-bolts are the same (96001-06022-07), as is the "holder" plate (45517-166-006), the plate which clamps the sub-assembly to the right-hand clip-on.

I think that the 2005 sub-assembly will mount and work just fine, but I might be wrong.

Thanks for your help.

Why would you want to do this? I'm hoping it's free, otherwise you shouldn't waste your money. Buy a ducati master or a ZX14 master.
