'03 Vibration Problem
I just bought a leftover '03 and have about 600 miles on it. I have noticed an aggravating high frequency vibration through the right handlebar which numbs my hand after about 15 minutes of 60mph speeds. I checked the engine mounting bolts, steering head tolerance, and tire pressures. Then I took it back to the dealer. They claim there is nothing wrong with the bike, but I only see another 10 miles on the odometer. So I am not confident they road it long or fast enough to experience the problem.
One thing I did notice today, was that I feel a vibration in the right fork leg when I place my hand on it while riding at speed. There is no like condition from the left fork leg.
I know this is uncommon from a V-Twin, but maybe someone has heard of this isssue with a Superhawk.

Re: '03 Vibration Problem
does that happens only when you ride bike or also when it is stationary and revved to same rpms too?
If answer is - when ride only - it does sound like problem is not with engine-caused vibrations but with something about bearings in front wheel, or possibly warped brake disk or head bearings etc. - I mean rolling chassis rather than engine.

Many things can add to the vibe you describe....
I will take you down my road...
I had a mini 'tank slapper' shimmy at speeds... when I let go of the bars... you can see it ( LEFT-RIGHT ect) but very fast and short... as I slowed... the shimmy got slower and larger...
After this... I inspected my front rubber to see and feel bad cupping ( NASTY 207)
I bit the bullet and bought a matching 208 instead of masking the problem with a $500 Scotts damper.
Result.... silking smooth ride, no vibes and not numbing....
Some other things that add to this....
suspension setup may be too stiff... sounds odd.. but true... mine was set HARD when I picked it up and backed it off some which aided in smooth riding....
My setup ( 175 lbs)
3rd notch level on the front preload... 1 full turn from hard damping...
3rd notch from top on rear preload and 1 full turn from hard on damping
This gives me the best ride/handling without sacrificing comfort/performance for what I do...
