I have to say I had a worse experience than any of the above, short of bodily injury (involves a friend's MOTHER on the back of my 750F on the big 5 in SD CA). Which is the point. If you are not there, they cannot kill you. You can quote me on that!

I've done some very stupid macho things on bikes and in cages, and I always think to myself "I'll never do that again" but always seem to come up with something new and associated rationalization. It gets real personal when you realize your wife is next to you but it could be someone else's wife, husband or child, who while at fault could die because you were macho or riding on principle.

It will only get worse for us... scary huh? Makes you want to run a headlight modulator, auxiliary brake/running/marker/TS/DL lights, twin Hi db horns, paste orange & reflective stickers all over plus wear a super-see-me vest, have 911 via bluetooth, and pick your route/schedule as carefully as possible. Wait, I've been doing that for 15 years (all except for bluetooth availability)
