Outbid!!!
Wow....I f-ing hate getting outbid on Ebay with about a minute left!!! For around 3 days I had the highest bid on a subframe, with a lot of room in between my bid and my max bid. With less than a minute left I was outbid on both the subframe and a windscreen I was bidding on! %#$!!@^*%!#&*
Just had to get that outta my system.

I've been going through the same situation for two weeks now on ebay with trying to win boots. Everytime, the last 5 minutes everything goes crazy. Kinda makes me wish I wasn't so cheap. Oh well.
I try to keep from bidding until the very end unless I won't be around to keep an eye on things. Keeps people from sizing you up. I just fire off the highest bid I can afford at the end and cross my fingers. Doesn't work all the time obviously.....I'm still trying to get a good seat....
While I empathize with your frustration, you now know how the game is played so I suggest you get good at it too if you plan on winning the items you are seeking. In a perfect world it wouldn't work that way, but it ain't a perfect world.....
Yeah, I think it's the same one (blue trim and screws).
If It doesn't work out. I'll let you know.
Again, sorry about that one. Just needed a replacement screen.
I do have a stock clear that is in okay shape, if you are interested as well.

CaptianChaos: "I have a VERY nice looking Colorado CLEAN TITLE 1999 SUPERHAWK frame-8,600 miles. Title's signed by the previous owner and ready to turn over to you. No dings, dents, rash. Just about mint cosmetically. It was sold to me as straight and perfect...HOWEVER it is missing the little upper fairing mount on the left side and it has a hairline crack in the weld on the neck on the left side. Both are easy weld repairs. I would also recommend getting the frame computracked once you're done putting it together. They get $150 to check it out and it's well worth the piece of mind. I'll let it go for $250..."
good luck bro,
RC

It's ok though...it's not high on my list, and you got it for a bitchin' price
High Bidder Whoopsie!
A couple of weeks ago I was surfing ebay looking at bike prices. I came across a 2002 SuperHawk w/1218 miles, that had 10 minutes left to bid and had not yet reached its reserve. This bike entrigued me because years ago Motorcyclist Magazine had rated it as a used bike best buy. I heard one in the parking lot at a little league game last summer and thought, WOW, that's a great sounding sport bike. I was actually shopping for a late model FZ1 or Kawasaki Z1000. I wanted an upright seating position since I'm too old (44) to be leaning over on a sport bike.
So, as I'm cooking hamburgers for the family I decide for curiosities sake to up the current bid by $50. Assuming that automatic bids would kick-in leaving me in the dust and maybe reveal the reserve price. In goes the bid, Congratulations, your the current high-bidder and the reserve is now off. I'm the what? And the who is off? Oh S*%t! For 10 agonizing minutes I kept telling myself someone's going to hit-it. Hit-it, hit-it, damnit someone bid on this bike!
From the other room the beautiful one says, "honey the burgers are burning", um sorry dear, I'm a little distracted right now. One minute to go and someone always comes in at the last minute and outbids you. It'll only take $50 to up my bid and I'll give you the $50 if you just BID!
Three, two, one Congratulations you are the High-Bidder and master chef of four burnt hamburgers in tonights "Burn the Dinner, Buy a Motorcycle Sweepstakes"!
Long story made short, I now have a mint condition 2002 SuperHawk with only 1200 miles sitting in my basement. It was a dealer left over and I am acutally titled as the original owner and even got the full 1 year factory warranty.
Se-lah, anyone want to go riding?

Haha...best "how I got my bike" story I've ever heard. At least you weren't someone who just bids on something and then doesn't even have the money to pay for it.
Where are you located?

auctions
I've been using hammersnipe.com for a while with free 10seconds sniping and cheap sniping for 3 second snipes. Of course i won one a couple nights ago just hitting refresh on the payment portion and bid $50 over the current price (my max) and hit bid with 10 seconds to go. I won it well below my max. Sometimes you get lucky. I just knew my internet would crap out or something.
