The low-beam one headlight thing
I understand back in the day I guess manufacturers wanted everyone to feel like they were Colin Edwards at the 8 hours of Suzuka with the stupid one headlight low-beam thing (Yes I've heard the "one headlight, motorycle, two headlights car thing with regards to judging distance and I'm not really sold on it). But back then bikes also had flatter faces so if one headlight was on on low-beam it really didn't matter, you'd still see it. Fast forward to last night and almost flattening a new R3 on my way home. Apparently only the right headlight is on with the low-beam (they're seriously still doing this?) and combined with the bike's pointy nose and the fact that the headlights are set back on the nose, and the bike is virtually impossible the see WITH THE HEADLIGHT ON anywhere from around the riders 9'oclock to 11 o'clock. The point of the nose literally blocks the damn headlight from the left side and forward. I honestly can't believe this was allowed to happen and people ARE going to get mangled because of it. If anyone is driving at night and the bike crosses in front of them from right to left they literally will not see it coming. Whoever designed this should be shot.

Well I DID see him at the last minute, hence the "almost" flattened him. Hard to see any vehicle at night that has no lights, especially when it's crossing from out of the beam of your headlights on a pitch black street.
