Some time ago I read about the effort to get the Catalina Island Grand Prix going again, looks like it's gonna happen this year in December...

More like the Elsinore Grand Prix from the late '60s through early '70s than the Ilse of Man. The asphalt outside of Avalon is not suited for powerful street bikes. Very narrow and rough.

Although the streets in Avalon are too narrow, and too few, for racing, there's tons of open real estate outside of town. Just watch out for the Bison and Javalinas.

Yeah I didn't mean it was gonna be like the IoM-TT road race; just that it's gonna be on a small Island. It's not gonna be a road race or even supermoto. Pretty sure its gonna be a multi-surface circuit with mostly an offroad bent; similar to the other Big 6 GP races that AMA 37 currently runs.
