Tailgunner exhaust

My buddy wants to but a tail gunner exhaust on his bike (SV650). Has anyone seen this? I think it's pretty silly. He wanted me to post and get opinions cause he swears it's pretty sweet. Should I smack him or is there something wrong with me?

Without seeing and hearing it in person, it would be hard to judge. Looking at their website, they aren't my cup of tea. Love the description though: "utilizes our special 6" fully packed fiberglass Power-Baffle in conjunction with our axial flow twin turbines. Big Performance - Big Sound - Enormous cool factor."

Axial flow twin turbines? WTF? Sounds like that Tornado thing you put on a carb to increase power.

My vote:

Actually I'm on the fence on this one. I would never pay money for it myself, but it might be kind of cool. Just because it's unique.

Ok nevermind. I saw some pictures of it mounted on a sport bike. You are right, very gay.

He needs more than a , more like a or a for even considering the idea.

Take him down into the bilge and give him some bulkhead counseling for considering those for a V-twin or any sportbike.

I'd change my mind if they actually worked. Definitely get rid of those irritating tailgaters.

It hurts my feelings that we are even responding to this! Is he gonna wear assless leather pants when he rides with this? Are you sure this is for real? Does this guy really ride a sportbike? Man up!

I agree completely - I think you should take his bike away from him. For the common good, of course. Maybe he could put those pipes on a nice pastel Vespa?

Thanks for the comments. I'm gonna sit him down tomorrow and show him this post. Maybe he'll understand that this would not be a good investment.

Let me first say that I would NEVER put this on my Hawk, or any other sport bike for that matter. That being said, I can see it on a full out custom chopper or streetfighter IF and ONLY IF, the entire bike was themed accordingly.

Yeah but the guns were just to make the other soldiers feel better about themselves. In reality, Chuck Norris is faster than any bullet and more powerful than any gun. True story

BTW your avatar rocks!

Can someone here hack that sight and shut it down? It would be for the greater good of all who have no sense of style. Or common sense for that matter.

If he does the tailgunner exhaust, ask him if he is going to use these frame sliders?

I saw a 05 R1 with them a couple weeks ago. They are badass. Very loud too, they sound like D&Ds. Might be a little overkill on a little SV650, but if he can hook it up so they shoot flames too, I'll ride with him.
