I don't do a lot of posting (mostly lurk around) and I know this has been addressed before, but I just installed a modified F4 shock for my 99 "Chicken" from Jamie here on the forum and what a huge difference! That combined with Race Tech springs has turned it into a new bike. If anyone is considering a shock change this is the best bang for the buck I bet.

 

Fully agree with the above. I had a Corbin saddle that made the ride better than stock. Replaced the stock shock with a stock shock that had a Hyperpro spring, again better than stock. Could actually feel it when I made an adjustment to it. Then replaced the Corbin with a Sargeant which improved the ride a little bit. Than I bought the JD shock. That shock was more of an improvement that all the other stuff I had done before put together. I think the stock seat would feel good with this shock. I still have my stock seat but would never think of putting it back on after riding the Sargeant. The JD shock was more than worth the purchase price.

What's it sprung for again? I've lost a bit of weight since ee last talked. Hanging around 220 right now
