RC51 front brake conversion w/ RC SS lines

Anybody ever installed a complete kit from an RC, lines included? I just scored this kit:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=130115132865

Even if the SS lines dont fit, it probably is still a good deal.

Just a guess but typically USD forks are shorter and with lower clip ons than the 'hawk, so I'd say the lines will be too short. If so, just use your stocker lines until you can get SS lines if you think you still need them.

You will need to take a little material off the calipers to get them to fit the Hawk forks. This has been detailed extensively here on the SH forum. I just bought myself this setup from a 600RR (same size mc and identical calipers to the RC and 954) for my 954 forks and it works great, although the F4i setup I already had on there worked very well also.

Thanks for the replies guys... I'm pretty stoked. I realize that there is material that needs to be machined away... I have access to a good mill so it shant be a problem.

As far as using my old lines, are the banjo bolts going to be the same thread and such? Just a bolt and go?

If the lines that came with the brake setup are too short, the threads on the Super Hawk banjo bolt should work just fine.
