New dash ON! with vid(s)

So as you guys know from my pestering questions, I swapped an aftermarket dash on. I wired it into a stock plug setup so it just plugs in.

Superhawk dash 2 - YouTube DAY

Superhawk dash replacement - YouTube NIGHT

So with what I learned I am putting a CBR dash on my other Hawk tomorrow. Just wanted to share a small victory.

That is the exact same gauge that I want to put on mine. How was the interface between the hawk harness and the one that plugs into that guy? Pretty easy install?

Uh,,,......no, yes, sorta. The dash doesnt come with any plugs at all BUT all the wires have blades that fit ritght into your vtr plug. So if you dismantle the stocker on your dash and push these blades into that in just the ritght places. It works mostly.

Looks good! Were you able to make the tachometer and fuel gauge work properly?

I posted on your YouTube videos. The night video looks great. I really like the look of the gauge all lit up. The day video just is not clean enough for my taste. If there can be a mounting bracket made to clean this set up up a bit and make it look more normal I think you may be on to something.

Yeah well I went a little meter crazy. I have a battery gauge that tell you how strong your battery is starting, current voltage and charge. Also went with a coolant temp gauge and ambient temp gauge.

I only got the fuel gauge to partially work (it doesnt use all the bars). Temp I havent got sorted yet but have ordered 2 other sensors that should sort it. Tach, speed and turn sigs, hi beam, clock all are good + 2 tripmeters.

Oh yeah the vids look a bit weird since they were shot with a gopro with super fisheye view. It doesnt do it justice as to how it looks to the eye. Here is a pic that shows its a bit more sano than gopro says. Not perfect yet but for a 5min fab up dash its fine.

Yeah my beautiful wife has been my umbrella girl at the races for years on hot pit. My pit crew. She actually helped with the wiring.
