need help
I know cars but not bikes
I know brakes but not lines.
I want to put on a set of goodrige lines, but i don't know which side the longer one goes on i am guessing left?? Do you put both of them connected to the resivour just side by side? a photo would be great.

Trust your instincts... longer one goes to the left side. And yes, they both get attached to the master cylinder, and the kit should have come with a longer bolt to accommodate the side-by-side mounting of the lines up top.
It really is as simple as it looks...don't let your brain get in the way ;-) Dive in man, dive in!!

You DO know you're not supposed to taste-test the brake fluid, right??

DO NOT PUT THE LINES SIDE BY SIDE!!!!! There should be a washer that mounts between the lines.
The kit should have come with 3 washers, 1 against the end where the banjo bolt threads in, 1 for between the two brake lines and a third for the outer line against the head of the banjo bolt.
Without all three of these, brake fluid will seep out and your brakes wont work.
