That is really nice!!! The only thing I would do differently is the rear sprocket (I don't like the read). But again good job; did you have any problems mounting the Ohlins shock, someone said they had a problem with the upper mount that required grinding?

Hey Alan,
I was referring to the pics on the first page. I can see them now, I did some upgrading on the computer and all is well. That bike is awesome! What clip-ons are you using with the 929 front end?? The look like Heli's but don't know for which bike!

Hi KC
they are spondon clipons which i got cheap off a mate :-D :-D they are a one piece unit (but in the event of a spill the whole unit will need replacing which is the downside) on the other they are extremely light and the finish is excellent.

Me again Al
Another question about the bar end mirrors (sorry but I am seriously thinking of picking up a set: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...564776&rd=1,1). My question relates to the clarity of vision or, put differently, the effect of the vibration. I am currently running stock mirrors with GenMar extenders and the mirrors stay perfectly clear at all speeds. What has been your experience with them "fancy new-fangled bar-end jobbies" ?
cheers

Hi Mik
i hav'nt ridden the bike yet with them on so can't really comment, the view (although a small mirror) looks really good, you can't see your elbows anyway.
If i dont like it when i try it will be replaced with my stock mirrors.
ps im not too concerned whats behind me everything looks like a dot anyway

Hi Otto
no its just the standard brake light unit and i mounted the led indicators onto it.Just drilled a hole big enough for the wire to go through, the indicators have a very strong adhesive backing on them, just press them into place and job done.

Just an updated pic of my conversion i finally got hold of an 8 spoke wheel polished the rims and gloss black centres mounted it today along with feeding the rear brake line through the swingarm.Well i'm really happy with how it looks with this wheel it looks so different compared to the 5 spoke. What do you all think before and after pic

Thanks Rossi i'm hoping to this summer at Sherburn Cafe in Yorkshire i did get into Superbike mag last month but only a small piece also entered in PB mag.Have you nearly finished yours?

Yep all up and runing and it looks and handles good.
I had a few teething problems with the front feeling a bit twitchy at low speed but most of that is sorted out now.
Mine are 929 triples and you can get full lock if you moove the rads back and mod the lock stops so they do not hit the centre fairing bracket.
With the bars you are runing you should have no truble at all.

Yeah i know about moving rads back and grind the stops i'm going to have to do it as i cant get on with the reduced lock.Ive just asked Slowhawk to post a pic of his triple where he has drilled and tapped it.

it's just like my old ducati monster, you have the turning cercle of an oil tanker!
when i get some heli bars i will be able to use full lock i have allready moved the rads back and done the lock stops.
The only thing you have to do when you move the rads is alter the bottom fairing brackets and shorten the water hose out of the water pump

Yes it is close, but when you make your rad brackets they will alow you to move your rads up and down so you change the angle they sit at. i will take some pictures of mine and you will be able to see what i mean.
