Modifications

I thought I would give an update of some mods I did this winter. I have a 03 with a stock exhaust and a K&N and it ran very lean. I put in a Dynojet kit with 180/185 mains (up from 175/178), needles on the fifth notch and the AF out 2.5 turns. My bike went from fun to ride to a complete animal. Second gear wheelies at 5000rpm are a snap of the wrist away. Rollers in third are easy. Low to mid range response is much improved. I did replace the stock shock with a Wilbers and this may contribute as it feels much more planted. I also changed the oil and fresh Rotella always makes my clutch hook up better. The roads are a mess in Ontario so the benefits of the new shock will not be complete until Deals, first week in May. So anyone running a K&N with stock exhaust should rejet immediately.
