Low Mount to High Mount Conversion

Does anyone know of a company that sells the high mount elbows so that I can use my low mount canisters?

The cans are in excellent condition and I like the sound so I don't need new ones. I just need the high mount mid pipe and hangar.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

I guess thats a possibility. I have had that done before in the past. But only because a buddy of mine worked at a shop that could mandrel bend pipe. He doesn't work there anymore, so I'd have to look around for a shop that could do it.

I know that Hindle sells all their pieces seperately, but I've heard that their peices only work with their exhaust.

Try calling the manufacturer of your cans. I'll bet they'd be more than happy to sell you a set of elbows.

I thought of that first, but Erion Racing does not make a high mount kit for the S/Hawk, only the standard mount.

mamisano is an unknown quantity at this point
Not sure it will work with the Erions. A friend of mine (Biker2K) has the Erions on his Hawk and compared to my Hi-Mount Jardines, the Erions are a few inches longer. I think that Hi-mounts require a shorter can to fit the proper bends in the mid pipes.

The result of the shorter Jardine can is less bass in the exhaust note compared to the Erions.

Hi-Mounts are nice but my main gripe is that the mid-pipe is a lot closer to your leg. Sucks to be stuck in traffic with the pipes right behind your calf. My leg feels like it is on Broil inside my JR boots

I know that the Erion's are longer, but thats not a big deal. I can drill out the rivets, pull off the end caps, remove some the fiberglass baffle, and cut down the outer can and inner baffle tube. Then put it all back together. Thats how I've done it before in the past.
I just need the mid-pipe itself.

Or I may go the undertail route using the 2 erion cans (shortened) with a 2-1-2 system. Its just alot more work to custom bend pipe and fit it all together (Then just my *** will be burning, not my legs.)

I have to tear it apart and see if I can fit a pipe next to the on that comes from the rear cyclinder down thru the space in the swingarm. If I can make the work, the rest will be easy.
