Long Carbon Fiber Velocity Stacks
If work so well why don't more people do it? I was a little unsure of them after reading all of the attempts of air box mods that seem to hurt more than help. Yet this seems like a pretty easy bolt on mod that gives you power where everyone wants it.
Honda have probably made the stacks a different length to widen the torque peak rather than make it peaky, I have considerably shortened both (85% of the shorter one) and made them equal to get a bump up high.
Haven't tried yet, bike is still apart.
The ram effect is calculated from the intake valve to the end of the stack throat.

I've asked the guy I bought the stacks from if he could get his hands on the measured drawings for them. My measurements would be okay, but the drawing would rock, allowing us to get the reproductions done to Mikstr's level of perfection
I'll let you know as soon as I hear back from him...
you da man Rick. If you can get those, perhaps I can unburden you and start looking around for potential suppliers (I stumbled across one place on the Net that mentions they make custom stacks to any measure, might be worth a look).

Guys, a friend of mine just responded to my email, asking him for a possible production of these velocity stacks.
I needed the exact measures forwarded to him and then he can give me a quote.
As of now we are talking about 40-50 USD per piece, but this is only a estimate and of course if more get produced, the price might go down a bit.
If you are willing to send me detailled pictures and measures, i could take care for that. My email is: jetman2403@yahoo.de
Regards from Spain

When i saw the stacks it reminded me on the ones used on the race watercraft. My buddy has a watercraft business in WA and works for a Buell raceteam, he has all the necessary contacts for this project.
This means production would be in the U.S., which saves a lot of shipping cost for you guys...
I wait for the info to come and forward it next week, when im back from Jerez MotoGP which is a nice 2hr drive from my place....

I just voted "no" but if we got plastic or something else in the $50 range I'd be in. I am curious about the above statement "drop the jet sizes slightly" Why is that if there is better flow?
Not sure how it works, but I know it does! today I tested redlines in 1st, 2nd and 3rd and all I gots to say is WOW! I'm running 16/43 and get a nice quick run up to redline in 2nd at 85 mph and 3rd redline comes on a lot faster then ever at > than 100mph. But that's an estimate...I never go that fast...LOL!
Suggestion: someone could send me a stack of the size they want and I can put it on our CMM which is .00014 accuracy. I would do it free of charge so long as someone pays shipping. It would take me only an hour or so to RE the part and have a 100% solid model and CAD drawing of the part.
