KICKSTAND RECALL ! ! !

hey guys.... ive had 2 cbr's and one s3 thunderbolt (recommended to any SH rider) , and al the kickstands have leaned over more than mine does on my sh, i mean, i hate kickstands.. theyscare me, and the SH is at like a 80 degree angle... i know with my old inlines i could lean it, then with my instep push it out further if need be.... does anyone know of a good aftermarket kickstand or a method of mod i can do? for peace of mind. thanks

dude your topic sounds like Honda has just put out a recall!

anyhow, if it's bent why dont you just heat it with a torch and straighten it out? that is; if you have access to a torch.

LOL. sorry about the confusion..... it is a catchy subject though, you have to admit. anyways, its not bent.. just dont like how its at like a 70 degree angle.. jsut curious if they made an aftermarket kickstand or i can bend it more for more of a secure angle.. kinda like a harley, but not as drastic.

I wouldn't recommend bending the kick stand, as it may drag on the pavement at lean angles.

just leave it alone, you will get used to it. (this is the first time I am hearing about this... so you are probably the only person who is bothered by it!)

yo clevland-the first week i had my hawk i thought the same thing, this bike sits way too upright. i still get worried on windy days the thing is gonna be blown over. i got used to it though and i am sure you will too...

Raise your rear suspension (shim mod) or drop your forks. Also, don't **** the front wheel to the right when parked, it tends to sit a tad more upright.

Due to using another model and longer shock on my Bandit 1200, the rear was so high that the rear wheel still touched the ground (just barely) while on the CENTERSTAND! It also leaned too far over on the sidestand. This was an exteme example.

They work, they don't break and they need to lean to work. I wouldn't mess with it. A more upright park is not safer, just the opposite.
