Well all dyno's read different and I would think the one he is using is a bit on the optimistic side......;) as it sounds like he did a pretty basic Stage 1 build. So I would say somewhere in the 120's true but that is just my opinion and I've only been messing with these bikes for a little while....;)

The only real thing I would add is, if you are running the bike with just the stacks, your engine isn't going to last very long. You need some kind of filter or the engine will be trashed in no time flat.

Agreed 100% on the stacks... A filter is needed...

About those numbers... I know form experience that the VTR has about 9-10% losses from the drivetrain to the wheel... So calculating with that, to get 156 bhp at the wheel, that engine would need ~175 bhp at the crank... That's simply not possible with or without a FCR's... Unless you are running a modified block, crank and a lot of other stuff... (Or perhaps, you could get it to that point, but then it's only a matter of time before it grenades on you...)

The most anyone have been able to reliably get out of an unmodified block & crank was around 150-155 at the crank... Which would then translate to just under 140 at the wheel...

I'm not saying your bike isn't pushing 156 bhp... I'm saying it's rather more likely that the dyno is optimistic... So if you want us to believe you, post a complete and comprehensive list of mods...

As for the clutch slippage... You already have aftermarket springs and plates in there right? And the plates are in absolute good good condition, not "good enough"? If so, I'd suggest new plates, and perhaps swapping for even sturdier springs and as a worst case scenario, shoehorning one single thicker plate in there... I'm running 120+ bhp at the wheel, and I had to work a little to make the clutch behave itself...

Will check and report back on the numbers.
As i said i don"t have the complete sheet.

VTR1000F Stage 1A to 3 110 – 150 BHP. A truly great riding experience. The Stage 3 was raced by Mark Ditchfield and “guest” raced by Gus Scott in British Superbikes. This was reported in Performance Bikes as ‘a fantastic ride’. This is truly a great bike.

Dyno

I wonder what my 130HP Moriwaki bike would register on that Dyno... Maybe 200 at the crank?:eek: Dyno sheet or it's BS... or some weird Euro Math.

I Don"t know how optimistic the dyno might be, but i know another moriwaki vtr , which i overtake like he shifted in reverse .

Stage 1 or 2?

Like I said, list the mods in one comprehensive list, not in various post in a jumble, and we can judge by that...

Still no mods list, Dyno sheet or good pictures of the carbs installed, I'm not buying it.

My Moriwaki close ratio gear box doesn't have a reverse gear.

Guys there have been so many mods on the bike that i don"t even remember.
There was a crank balance and lightnening, flywheel also. Some other things in the case. Gasflow work in the heads, je pistons high compression, changed cams , don't remember what, oversized valves, and changed rods .Barnet clutch springs and discs.
Apart from the fcr"s and remus cans plus dyna ignition coils, and a different cdi unit.
