It is a 2001 750, and used tl1000 heli bars.

The bottom of the steering stem and bearing size is the same as the vtr but the upper part and bearing size were different. I had the machine shop , machine down the upper part where the bearing goes to the specs of the vtr stem along with machine down and rethread for the 2 locking nuts to match the vtr but left the very top alone and used gsxr top triple clamp and nut.

How's the clearance on the steering? Do you hit the rad hoses and what did you do for steering stops? Looks great by the way. I just swapped over an RC51 front end but still have some fine tuning to do with regards to the steering stops and handlebar height. Someone I bought something from awhile ago sent me pics of his 929 conversion and he went crazy and machined custom brackets for his radiators and repositioned everything so his steering would work perfectly...pretty cool.

Unfortunately yes they hit the radiator hoses, steering stops are in a totaly different location on the triple tree so they are useless, I will have to figure something out because in the unfortunate event of a crash the radiator hose will probably be knocked off and VERY HOT antifreeze will go everwhere :(

oh and the brakes are CRAZY now
