Finally done! well almost (still have to get bike painted all black and have wheels powder coated)
Ok here it goes Gsxr750 parts front wheel EBC full floating race rotors calipers complete triple tree (had to have the upper have machined down to hawk's stem specs) front fender (rattle can flat black for now) ---------------- other parts all balls racing bearings TL1000 heli bars superhawk braided lines superhawk master cylinder and here are the pics |

what exactly did you have to machine on the upper triple also what clip ons did you use |
he used TL1k clip ons, i believe

what exactly did you have to machine on the upper triple also what clip ons did you use The bottom of the steering stem and bearing size is the same as the vtr but the upper part and bearing size were different. I had the machine shop , machine down the upper part where the bearing goes to the specs of the vtr stem along with machine down and rethread for the 2 locking nuts to match the vtr but left the very top alone and used gsxr top triple clamp and nut. |
How's the clearance on the steering? Do you hit the rad hoses and what did you do for steering stops? Looks great by the way. I just swapped over an RC51 front end but still have some fine tuning to do with regards to the steering stops and handlebar height. Someone I bought something from awhile ago sent me pics of his 929 conversion and he went crazy and machined custom brackets for his radiators and repositioned everything so his steering would work perfectly...pretty cool.
