Good Factory Pro jet settings?

So I just got a FP Ti 1.1 kit for the vtr, and I couldn't really find any exact recommended base setting for the bike. The bike is all stock except for some Micron slip-ons. Should I go with 178/180 main jets #45pilots and needles second clip from bottom?

Is there a trick for getting those goddamn springs in?

Just_Nick Aug 24, 2009 07:24 PM

Nevermind. I just about punched someone in the face for that stupid design.

Question: I have a flat spot right at 4k RPM. I am 2nd needle from the bottom, should I raise or lower the needle to get rid of that?

Compress the springs over something like a pencil before putting them on. Makes it much easier.

Have a look on the Factory Pro website. They have a section on how to tune a CV carb. This will tell you everything you need to get started on your tuning.
